The Plaza is located on Shelbyville Road in Louisville within 5 blocks of 2 regional malls, Oxmoor Center and The Mall St. Matthews. It is currently tenanted by Nordstrom Rack, Trader Joe’s, Old Navy, Guitar Center, Quest Outdoors, Cost Plus World Market, Ross Dress For Less, J.Crew Factory, Genesis Diamonds and others.Shelbyville Road Plaza was built in 1954 on a 30 acre site and originally was 224,000 square feet. It was the first shopping center built in suburban Louisville. In 1989 a predecessor company of Hagan Properties bought the Plaza and renovated and substantially re-tenanted it.
In 2000, Mr. Hagan bought out his partners, demolished 80,000 square feet to access 13 acres of undeveloped property that were landlocked behind the center, expanded the Plaza to 389,000 square feet and again re-tenanted the Plaza.
